This privacy policy applies to Arnold Media Limited t/a NetRefer’s (“NetRefer”) processing of the personal data which you leave and/or provide when you visit NetRefer’s Facebook page (the “Facebook page”) or social media sites owned by Facebook Ireland Ltd. (“Facebook”). This privacy policy is a supplement to Facebook’s general privacy policy.

NetRefer complies with the guidelines of the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner concerning joint data control and, using the applicable tools the best way possible, NetRefer attempts to ensure that you will be notified of the processing of your personal data when you visit the Facebook page.

What personal data is collected?
Depending on your conduct on the Facebook page, NetRefer and Facebook may collect the following personal data about you:
- Whether you “like” or have used other reactions on on the Facebook page
- Comments left by you on the Facebook page
- Your visits to the Facebook page
Facebook also uses “Facebook Insights” on the Facebook page to collect statistical data on the conduct of visitors on the page, including age, gender, relationship status, work, lifestyle, interests, and geographical information. For such purposes, Facebook places cookies on your devices when you visit the Facebook page. Each cookie contains a unique identification code which remains active for a period of two years unless it is deleted before the expiration of this period. Facebook receives, stores and processes your personal data through these cookies.

What is the purpose with processing your personal data?
NetRefer also processes your personal data to improve the Facebook page, compile statistics, develop and protect NetRefer’s services and products, including on the basis of your feedback. In that regard, NetRefer uses aggregated data which Facebook makes available through cookies via “Facebook Insights”, such as information on age, gender, relationship status, work, lifestyle, interests, and geographical information.
Facebook processes your personal data to enable Facebook to improve its advertisement system and to provide NetRefer with statistics that Facebook produces based on your visit to the Facebook page, in order to advertise and customise the activities on the page. Through cookies, Facebook and NetRefer gain knowledge of whether you like the Facebook page and use the page’s applications, to the effect that Facebook and NetRefer will be able to customise the content of the Facebook page and develop features which may be of interest to you.
What is the legal basis for the processing?
NetRefer processes your personal data as a consequence of NetRefer’s legitimate interest in improving NetRefer’s products and services (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
Facebook processes your personal data as a consequence of its legitimate interests, including its interest in providing innovative, customised, secure and profitable services (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). Facebook also processes your personal data in accordance with your consent which you are entitled to withdraw at any time via the Facebook settings (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

At no point in time will NetRefer disclose your personal data to other businesses.
