On Tuesday, 26th August 2014, Team NetRefer accepted the the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. We were nominated by our Director, Johan Zammit.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease is a disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This fatal disease also affects the muscles and results in difficulty with speaking, swallowing and breathing. Learn more on ALS.
The team was happy to take on the challenge and help raise awareness, however, more importantly the aim was to raise funds and donate them to the Malta Hospice Movement which is the organization in Malta that helps those who are diagnosed with this disease.
